This Zisha (Yixing clay) teapot is crafted from a pebble-colored clay, with its body and lid intricately divided and shaped to evoke the form of a fruit. One side of the body features raised depictions of peach fruits, branches, and leaves, while the opposite side is adorned with Chinese characters, blending decorative artistry with scholarly taste.

In traditional Chinese culture, the peach is a prominent symbol of longevity and auspiciousness, and it has been widely used in the decoration of Zisha ware. The lid's finial is also sculpted to harmonize with the body, and potter's marks are visible on the base and inside the lid.

Surface wear, blackening, and patina acquired over years of use and storage contribute to its antique aesthetic. Signs of use and discoloration are also present internally. Therefore, this piece is recommended for display and collection purposes rather than for brewing tea.

자갈색 태토로 제작된 자사 주전자로, 몸체와 뚜껑을 여러 갈래로 분할하여 과실을 연상시키는 입체적인 형태로 빚었습니다. 몸체 한쪽에는 복숭아 열매와 가지, 잎을 도드라지게 표현하였으며, 반대편에는 한문 글귀를 새겨 장식성과 문인 취향을 함께 살린 기물입니다.

복숭아는 중국 전통 문화에서 장수와 길상을 상징하는 대표적인 소재로, 자사기의 장식에도 널리 사용되어 왔습니다. 뚜껑의 꼭지 역시 몸체와 조화를 이루도록 조형하였으며, 바닥과 뚜껑 안쪽에는 각각 낙관이 확인됩니다.

표면에는 오랜 사용과 보관 과정에서 형성된 것으로 보이는 마모와 검게 착색된 부분 등이 남아 있어 고태미가 느껴집니다. 내부에도 사용 흔적과 착색이 확인되는 만큼 실제 차를 우려 사용하는 용도보다는 감상 및 장식용으로 권해드립니다.
