[BUNJANG] Japanese Lacquerware Storage Box / 일본 옻칠,주칠 보관함

A traditional Japanese lacquered container (Chujian/Sweets container) featuring the Vermilion Lacquer (Shu-Urushi) technique.

Characterized by the Maki-e (Raden) technique, where intricate patterns are meticulously drawn with gold lines on a vermilion lacquer base.

The lid surface is elegantly adorned with cranes (Tsuru) and pine trees (Matsu), symbolizing longevity and good fortune.

Although pre-owned, it is in good condition with minor signs of use that do not affect its functionality. Sensitive buyers are advised to refrain from purchasing.

Ideal for use in a tea room to store small trinkets or as a confectionery box.
