This is a rare and historically significant Go board, a testament to exquisite craftsmanship. Originally commissioned as a commemorative gift for Kang Jin-gu, former Chairman of Samsung Electro-Mechanics and concurrently Chairman of Samsung Electronics during the lifetime of Chairman Lee Byung-chul of Samsung Group, it was presented by the Samsung Electronics Go Club.

This board was specially crafted by Master Ilseok Moon In-hwan, a renowned Go master, and is designated as a 'Choguk-sang' (Super-Grade) Shinbija board, size 6. This is not merely a high-grade board, but a representation of the finest quality.

Acquired at a considerable price by my late father, it has been meticulously preserved and stored for many years. The board is in pristine condition, showing virtually no signs of age, appearing almost new.

The accompanying Go stones are made of the highest quality agate and jade, and the Go container is also crafted from jade, representing the pinnacle of luxury for its time.
