This is a white porcelain overglaze enamel box made during the Republic of China period. The lid is finely decorated with a Kylin Boy motif, depicting a boy riding a kylin accompanied by assisting figures. The scales of the kylin are emphasized with green and black lines, while the figures' robes are vividly colored with red and crimson overglaze enamels. Simple floral patterns in the style of arabesque are inscribed on the sides of the surface, enhancing the beauty of the empty space.

The inscribed mark at the bottom, **'Guan Yao Nei Zao' (官窯內造)**, signifies the continuation of the Qing Dynasty Imperial Kiln tradition and was commonly used during the Republic of China period.
