활짝 웃는 얼굴과 넉넉한 자태, 짙은 흑갈색의 고색이 인상적인 포대화상 조각상입니다.

전면에는 **招財進寶(초재진보)** 네 글자가 새겨져 있습니다. “재물을 불러들이고 보배가 들어온다”는 뜻으로 사용되는 중국의 전통 길상문입니다.

한 손에는 염주, 반대편에는 호리병 또는 복주머니 형태의 지물이 표현되어 있습니다. 몸 주변에 동자 조각이 배치된 오자희미륵 계열의 조형으로 추정됩니다.
