### Artist Biography: Kim Jong-ho

Kim Jong-ho was born in Seoul in 1937. His extensive career in ceramics includes:

* 1957-1960: Studied at the Korea Art Research Institute.
* 1960-1962: Operated the Goesan Ceramics Research Institute in Chungbuk.
* 1972-1979: Studied at the Haegang Goryeo Celadon Research Institute.
* 1979: Established the Songwol Celadon Research Institute.
* 1987: Served as a director for the Korea Traditional Ceramics Association.
* 1999: Served as the President of the Icheon City Ceramic Art Association.
* 1999: Served as the Chairman of the Icheon City Traditional Ceramics Development Committee.
* 2000: Invited artist for the Millennium UN World Peace Art Exhibition.
* 2000: Received a letter of appreciation from UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
* 2003: Selected as a Master Potter of Icheon City, a mecca for ceramic art.
* 2003: Received a plaque of appreciation from the Do-san Academy Research Institute under Heungsadan.
* 2005: Sole participant representing Korea at the Jingdezhen International Ceramic Fair in China.
* 2006: Selected as a 'Great Master of Korea' (대한명인).
