Description
This is the MVD Badge for Service Excellent, directly inheriting the design of the NKVD Badge for Service Excellent. It is the highest departmental award given to personnel of the police, internal troops, etc.
The condition of the badge is not good. The front enamel and ribbon part, excluding the upper left, have been repaired with paint or resin. The central "MVD" enamel has not been repaired. The badge itself is an authentic item made at the Moscow Mint in the 1980s and is being sold at a low price considering its condition. New items in good condition are traded at around $800-1000.
This is a decent item to attach to a Soviet police or internal troops uniform or for display purposes.
