사람보다 가죽 자켓이 먼저 보이는 느낌이 강하기 때문입니다.

그럼에도 우리는 계속해서 ‘끝판왕’을 찾아다닙니다.
어쩌면 그런 심리가 가죽 자켓의 가격을 계속 끌어올리는 데에도 어느 정도 영향을 주고 있다고 생각합니다.

제가 가죽 자켓을 볼 때 가장 중요하게 생각하는 건
사람과 옷이 얼마나 자연스럽게 조화를 이루느냐입니다.

가죽 자켓보다 얼굴이 먼저 보여서도,
얼굴보다 가죽 자켓이 먼저 보여서도 안 된다고 생각합니다.

입는 사람의 라이프스타일 안에서 옷과 사람이 적절한 균형을 이루는 것.
저에게 좋은 가죽 자켓은 그런 옷입니다.

그런 의미에서 L.L.Bean A-2는 제가 생각하는 밸런스의 70% 정도를 꽤 잘 채워주는 자켓입니다.

적당히 미국스럽지만 누가 입어도 과하지 않고,
일상에 자연스럽게 묻어납니다.

무엇보다 ‘가죽 자켓을 입기 위해 오토바이 정도는 타야 할 것 같은’ 부담이 없습니다.

그냥 평소 입던 데님이나 치노 위에 툭 걸쳐도 충분한 자켓입니다.

그리고 이번 개체는 지금까지 봐온 L.L.Bean A-2 중에서도 손에 꼽을 정도로 상태가 좋습니다.

오염이나 별다른 하자 없이,
민트급을 넘어 데드스탁에 가까운 컨디션으로 입고되었습니다.

이번 개체는 정말 좋은 기회가 될 거라 생각합니다.

L.L.Bean A-2는 개체 특성상 가죽에 스크래치가 있거나, 눌리고 구겨진 자국이 심하게 남아 있는 경우가 많습니다.

하지만 이번 개체는 그런 아쉬움이 거의 없습니다.

눈에 띄는 스크래치나 오염, 가죽의 심한 구김 없이 전체적인 표면과 형태가 깨끗하게 보존되어 있습니다.

여러 개체를 봐왔지만 이 정도 컨디션은 쉽게 다시 만나기 어렵다고 생각합니다.

실물이 더 상태가 좋습니다.
