This is a high-quality reissue 2LP set of Bruckner's Symphony No. 8, conducted by the maestro of German conducting lineage, Hans Knappertsbusch.

This is a meticulously restored, high-fidelity replica release utilizing modern technology, preserving the distinctive teal label design and prestigious gatefold artwork of the original US Westminster (WST 235) stereo first pressing, which once commanded hundreds of thousands of won.

Recorded in 1963 at Munich's Bavaria Studio, this historical performance combines Knappertsbusch's characteristic grand and profound scale with the powerful low-frequency resonance of the Munich Philharmonic. Through modern mastering processes, excessive background noise from the original pressing has been reduced, allowing for a more serene and clear appreciation of the rich harmonics and reverberation unique to analog, making it an excellent choice for audiophile listening.

This record was released in 2006 by the audiophile label Speaker's Corner as a 180g heavyweight pressing after original analog mastering. It is currently out of print.

It features a gatefold jacket with internal liner notes and original sketches.
