[BUNJANG] Donggukyo Docheon Go Young-jae Celadon Tea Bowl with Cloud and Crane Motif / 동국요 도선 고영재 청자 운학문 다완

A celadon tea bowl crafted by Master Go Young-jae during his time at Donggukyo in the 1970s.

Master Go Young-jae was one of the three master potters of Icheon, renowned for his unique 'Dok-mul-le' technique, meaning he completed the entire pottery shaping process alone from start to finish. This was particularly exceptional during a time when most works were created through division of labor.

He co-founded Donggukyo with Master Bang Cheol-joo in 1973. Works from this period bear the 'Dongguk' signature, and a signature box was used to authenticate the artist's name.

Works by Master Go Young-jae are rare and highly sought after due to their limited production.

This piece exhibits the clear celadon glaze characteristic of Donggukyo works. There are minor imperfections: two spots of iron-brown crawling within the interior glaze.

70년대 동국요 시절 도선 고영재 선생님의 청자 다완 작품 입니다.

고영재 선생님은 이천의 3대 물레대장(토정 홍재표,수광 이정하) 이며,그중에서도 독보적인 독물레대장으로 불리신 분입니다.
_혼자서 작품의 성형을 처음부터 끝까지 마무리 한다고 해서 독물레 라 하며, 이때 당시는 많은 분업으로 작품이 제작되던 시기 였습니다.

73년도 방철주 선생과 합작으로 동국요를 설립하셨으며, 이때 작품은 동국 으로 작품에 수결을 하고, 수결상자에 각자의 이름을 넣어서 작품을 보증 하였습니다.

고영재 선생님 작품은 만나기가 쉽지 않으며, 작품 수량도 매우 희소한듯 합니다.

작품색상은 동국요 에서 보이는 맑은 청자 색상의 작품으로, 크게 흠잡을곳 없으며, 안쪽으로 철화가 묻어 나온 점들이 2개 정도 보입니다.
