앙드레 꾸레쥬(1923~2016)는 처음에는 아버지의 권유로 토목 공학을 전공하고 공군 조종사로 복무했으나 예술에 대한 열망으로 패션계로 전향했고, 1948년부터 약 10년간 크리스토발 발렌시아가(Cristóbal Balenciaga) 밑에서 도제로 일을 하다가 1961년, 그는 연인인 코클린 바리에르(Coqueline Barrière)와 함께 자신의 이름을 건 오트 쿠튀르 하우스를 파리에 설립했습니다.
