[BUNJANG] An Jung Geun Calligraphy Ink Painting Scroll Reproduction / 안중근 의사 유묵 영인필사본 족자

This is a reproduction of a calligraphy ink painting scroll by An Jung Geun, a prominent Korean independence activist. The scroll features the phrase 'One child's education is worth more than a million gold taels' (黃金百萬兩 不如一敎子), conveying the profound message that education and character development are far more valuable than material wealth.

This piece is dated March in the year Gyeongsung (1910) and was written 'in Ryojun Prison' (於旅順獄中). The inscription 'Written by An Jung Geun, a Great Korean' (大韓國人 安重根 書) is accompanied by the imprint of his left hand with a severed ring finger.

This reproduction was created in the modern era in Japan. It is exceptionally rare for a work from this modern period, and a handwritten copy is particularly scarce.

The original artifact is designated as a national treasure of the Republic of Korea and is managed by the state. It is currently housed at the National Folk Museum of Korea, Paju Branch (storage facility), for preservation, though it is managed by the National Museum of Korean History (located in Gwanghwamun, Jongno-gu, Seoul).

근대작으론 극히드문 작품이고 필사로 직접쓴 건 상당히 귀합니다.

유묵의 진본은 현재 대한민국 국가 유산으로 지정되어 국가에서 관리하고 있습니다.
