[BUNJANG] Vintage Step Inkstone / 단계 벼루 (근대사.빈티지)

A vintage, high-quality step inkstone from the modern historical era. Notably, it features a comb-like lattice pattern on the top. The reservoir for water, the 'muk-ji', is almost basin-like, and this style, with its right-angled construction, is known as a 'Ta-sa-yeon' or 'Haeng-ja-yeon' inkstone. It was considered a premier item among the 'Four Treasures of the Study' for scholars.

On the reverse side, there are two inscriptions, which could be either official seals or the owner's name.

This object was used for traditional calligraphy, offering a tangible connection to the sensibilities of its time. Its dimensions are approximately 11cm in width and 19cm in length, with a weight of 1260g, making it a substantial piece.

근대사 시대의 빈티지 고급 단계 벼루입니다. 특이한 점은 위쪽에 빗살 격자무늬가 있고, 물 담는 곳 묵지가 거의 웅덩이형인데 이것은 직각으로 만든 벼루 양식 중 태사연 혹은 행자연 벼루라고 했고 선비들의 문방사우 중 으뜸으로 쳤던 벼루일 겁니다.
뒤집어서 보면 낙관인지.소장자의 이름인지는 모르지만 낙관글씨가 두개 있구요.
