There are absolutely no functional or cosmetic defects. The strings were replaced with Elixir strings two weeks ago, and a professional setup was performed, so it is ready to play immediately.

Perhaps due to good luck in the manufacturing process, the output and sustain are beyond what is typically expected from a Squier model.

Recommended for those looking for a cost-effective way to play a Jazzmaster.
