[BUNJANG] Qing Dynasty Tongzhi Period Celadon Porcelain Incense Container / 대청 동치년제 분채(천강채) 향통

A Qing Dynasty Tongzhi period incense container. It is said that its creation began during the Tongzhi era for storing incense.

The intricate patterns of *qiangcai* (a type of enamel decoration) are delicately painted.

This piece is free of transfer decorations and *yushuli* glaze.
The Tongzhi period marks the appearance of seal marks and hallmarks.

Height: 14 cm.
*Qiangcai* enamelware was popular from the Daoguang period to the early Republic of China.

*Qiangcai* technique: Outlines are drawn with black lines, and then colored with light blue, green, and light red mixed with glue, creating a subtle ink wash painting style.

This is a highly artistic piece, as it was directly painted with poems and pictures by actual painters and literati, rather than by ceramic artisans.
