[BUNJANG] Gaya All-Solid Mahogany Soprano Ukulele (Handmade, Korean-Made) / 가야 올솔리드 마호가니 소프라노 우쿨렐레 국산 수제

This is a soprano ukulele crafted in 2006 by Gaya Akki Industry, the first ukulele manufacturer in Korea.

Upon purchase, the product was listed as 'no signs of use.' However, upon closer inspection, the actual condition revealed yellowing on the nut and dirt on the metal parts of the tuners and the bottom endpin. The frets were also found to be in a dirty condition.

Furthermore, the instrument itself has inherent manufacturing blemishes: two frets are slightly shorter than standard, there is evidence of a sticker marker being removed, and the saddle height is low, causing buzzing on the 2nd and 3rd strings between frets 1-5. This indicates it is a blemished product.

Basic polishing has been performed, cleaning the metal parts of the tuners and frets. A very slight reddish rust remains on the frets, which could not be removed due to the lack of metal cleaner.

The neck is in perfect condition. A piece of cardboard has been inserted into the saddle for frets 2-3, making it suitable for practice or recording without issue. For outdoor live performances, modifications such as replacing the nut and saddle would be necessary to address cosmetic concerns.

Initially considered as a main instrument due to Gaya Akki Industry's pioneering status, the owner has decided to sell it as they cannot justify further investment.

The original strap included at the time of purchase was discarded as it was not a ukulele strap. The instrument comes with a hard case. A Korean-made Gopherwood humidifier pack is included; please replace it in November. Apply lemon oil to the fretboard in February of next year.

As an instrument with 20 years of history, it produces a good sound. It is being sold because it does not meet the owner's intended use.

국산 1호 우쿨렐레 제조사 가야악기산업에서 2006년에 제작한 소프라노 우쿨렐레입니다.

번개장터에서 ‘사용감 없음’으로 등록된 제품을 7월 26일에 구입하였으나 실제 악기 상태는 너트에 황변 및 튜너 및 하단 엔드핀 금속 부속품에 때가 얹혀 있었으며 프렛이 지저분한 상태였습니다.

악기 자체도 기본적으로 제조 공정에서 프렛의 길이가 미세하게 짧은 프렛이 2개가 있고, 프렛 마커를 잘못 붙였다 떼어낸 흔적 1개가 있으며, 섀들의 높이가 낮아 2-3번 현에 1~5번 프렛을 칠 때 버징이 발생하는 블레미쉬 제품인 것을 확인하였습니다.

기본 폴리싱을 하여 튜너의 금속 부속품과 프렛의 상태를 깨끗하게 만들어놨습니다. 프렛의 붉은 녹이 아주 조금 남았는데 메탈 클리너 제품을 현재 가지고 있지 않아 제거하지 못했습니다.

넥 상태는 아무 문제 없고 섀들의 2-3번 프렛에 종이박스를 잘라 끼워넣은 상태로 연습이나 레코딩 용으로 쓸 거라면 문제가 없습니다. 야외에서 라이브를 하실 거라면 너트를 갈고 섀들을 교체하는 등의 작업을 해야 외관상 문제가 없을 것입니다.

국산 1호 우쿨렐레 제조사라고 하여 직접 테크해서 메인악기로 쓸까 생각해봤는데 이 우쿨렐레에 돈을 쓸 만한 부자는 아니라서 아쉽게도 그냥 내놓습니다.

구입할 때 있었던 끈은 우쿨렐레 스트랩이 아니라서 버렸습니다. 하드케이스 포함이며 국산 고퍼우드 습도관리팩 넣어놨으니 11월에 교체하시고 프렛보드에 레몬 오일은 내년 2월에 발라주시면 됩니다.

20년된 악기인 만큼 소리는 좋습니다. 제가 사용할 목적에 맞지 않아 판매하는 악기입니다.
