## Fragmented Self: An Exploration of Identity

제가 그림작가가 꿈이라서, 이런 저런 상상? 혹은 망상을 하는 경우가 많아서,
그냥 생각 속에 떠오른 잔상을 그림으로 그려 본 건데요~^^

꼭 판매하기 위한 목적만은 아니고 그냥 제 그림을 한번 봐주시고 공감해주셨으면 하는 마음에서 올려보는 작품입니다~♡


<작품 설명>

이 작품은 인간의 얼굴을 하나의 생명체이자 구조물로 변형시켜, 현대 사회 속에서 분열되는 자아를 표현합니다.
중앙의 거대한 눈은 끊임없이 자신을 바라보는 감시와 자기검열을 표현하고, 얼굴 위로 자라난 손과 뿌리 같은 형태는 타인의 시선과 사회적 관계가 개인의 정체성에 뒤엉키는 모습을 나타냅니다. 양초 위의 불꽃은 흔들리는 자아의 내면을 의미합니다.
결국 이 인물에게는 완전한 "나" 가 존재하는 것이 아니라, 수많은 시선과 기억, 욕망이 겹쳐진 불안정한 자아만이 남게 되죠.

나는 나를 바라보고 있는가, 아니면 누군가가 바라보는 나를 바라보고 있는가,, 인간의 자아에 대한 욕망과 갈등들을, 자신을 밝힐수록 녹아내릴 수 밖에 없는 양초로 표현해보고 싶었습니다.
