[BUNJANG] Fang Ngil Mask from Gabon / 아프리카 가봉 응길 팡 마스크 가면 Ngil Fang Mask

This is a Ngil mask, crafted by the Fang people of Gabon, Africa.

Traditionally, these masks were utilized by the Fang's secret society, the Ngil, for identifying criminals or in rituals against witchcraft. The white kaolin coating symbolizes ancestral power, and the mask's appearance, often at night with torches, was intended to inspire fear.

This piece is part of a personal collection of African masks. Several items are being offered for sale, focusing on those with the most striking visual appeal.

A stand is included, but the mask can also be displayed by hanging it on a wall.

이러한 가면은 전통적으로 팡족의 비밀 결사인 응길(Ngil) 사회에서 범죄자를 식별하거나 마법에 대항하는 의식에 사용되었습니다.하얀색은 카올린(고령토)을 바른 것으로, 조상의 힘을 상징하며 보통 밤에 횃불과 함께 등장하여 두려움을 조성했습니다.
해외에서 여러 마스크를 수집 중 비주얼 적으로 제일 마음에 드는 것 들만 소장 하고 있었는데 몇 가지들은 출품 합니다.
거치대가 포함 되어있지만 벽에 걸어서 장식 하셔도 됩니다.
사이즈는 세로35 가로20 폭11cm 정도 됩니다.
