A vintage Roden shooting coat from the 1960s-70s by Steinbock.

Roden coats are rare to find made with high quality today, and vintage pieces often surpass modern ones in both quality and value. This particular coat is a prime example from Steinbock, a renowned Austrian manufacturer of Roden coats.

This piece embodies the classic Roden shooting coat design, featuring a long back pleat, floating shoulder, valance, and slit pockets. The sleeves and main pocket openings are also trimmed with leather.

The fabric is exceptionally durable, with no significant damage affecting wear. However, there are signs of use, including areas where the surface nap has worn down due to friction. Additionally, the paint on the cuff buttons is chipped and would benefit from replacement. One minor issue is that one of the armpits, which are naturally open for mobility in Roden coats, has a slight tear in the stitching (see photo #9). This has not worsened with wear, so it was left as is. The price has been adjusted to reflect these points.

Labeled size 46, this is a rare size for vintage Roden coats, which are often smaller or women's sizes. Please refer to the measurements below. Recommended for sizes 95-100 (Korean sizing) depending on desired fit.

60~70년대 슈타인복 사의 로덴 슈팅 코트입니다. 다른 옷들도 많이 그렇지만 로덴 코트는 현행으로는 제대로 만드는 제조사가 얼마 없고, 아무래도 과거 제품들이 퀄리티나 가성비적으로 우수합니다. 그 중 로덴 코트의 대표적인 제조사, 오스트리아의 슈타인복 제품입니다.

로덴 슈팅 코트의 전형이라 할 수 있는 개체입니다. 긴 백플릿츠, 플로팅 숄더, 발카라, 슬릿포켓이 모두 있습니다. 소매와 메인 포켓 입구도 가죽으로 트림 처리 되었습니다.

워낙 견고한 원단이라 착용에 방해되는 상처는 없지만, 사용감이 있고, 마찰이 잦은 곳 위주로 표면의 기모감이 빠진 부위가 있습니다. 그 외에 소매 단추는 칠이 벗겨져서 바꾸시면 좋을 듯 합니다. 마지막으로 겨드랑이 부분이 로덴코트 특성상 활동성을 위해 원래 트여 있긴 하나, 한쪽 겨드랑이 봉제가 약간 더 뜯겨 있습니다(9번 사진). 착용하면서 악화되진 않아서 내버려 뒀습니다. 여하튼 감안해서 저렴하게 올립니다.

표기사이즈 46으로, 빅사이즈 아니면 여성용이 대부분인 빈티지 로덴 코트에서 매우 보기 드문 사이즈입니다. 실측은 아래 참고해 주시고, 입기에 따라 95~100 사이즈 추천드립니다.
