## THE YELLOW MONKEY - EXPERIENCE MOVIE (2nd Album)

**Release Date:** March 1, 1993

This is the second original album by the Japanese rock band THE YELLOW MONKEY, released approximately 8 months after their previous work. It was released concurrently with their 2nd single, "Avan-Gyare-Do de Ikō yo."

While sales didn't dramatically increase compared to their debut, the band steadily grew their audience, notably holding their first solo live concert at the Nippon Seinenkan during this period.

The album explores themes of '90s pure love,' 'clumsiness,' and 'parting with one's past self.' It features three lengthy ballads, each exceeding six and a half minutes: '4000 Tsubu no Koi no Uta,' 'Freesia no Shounen,' and 'Silk Scarf ni Boushi no Madam.' The vocalist, Yoshii, insisted on including these tracks, stating, "I really wanted to sing about the three 'I's within me."

The jacket photo shows Yoshii in drag, portraying Marie, the jaguar's lover who appears on the 3rd album, "Jaguar Hard Pain." Yoshii commented, "I envisioned something reminiscent of the French film 'Betty Blue,' wanting a more intense, black-and-white drag performance, but I was somewhat intimidated by the record company and ended up with a cleaner look."

『EXPERIENCE MOVIE (미공개 익스피리언스 무비)』 는 일본의 록 밴드, THE YELLOW MONKEY의 2번째 오리지널 앨범.
전작부터 약 8개월로 짧은 스판으로 제작된 2집음반. 2nd 싱글 「아방가르드로 가요」와 동시 발매되었다. 전작과 마찬가지로 매출은 늘지 않았지만, 이 시기에 일본청년관에서 첫 홀 라이브를 실시하는 등 동원 수는 착실히 늘려 갔다.
'90년대의 순애', '구차함', '과거의 자신과의 결별'을 테마로 하고 있다. 
6분 반이 넘는 장척의 발라드가 3편 (' 4000粒の恋の唄', '프리지아의 소년', '실크 스카프에 모자의 마담')으로 수록돼 있고, 여기에는 주위의 반대도 있었지만 요시이는 "내 안의 '나', '나'라는 세 가지를 꼭 부르고 싶었다"고 말했다.
재킷 사진에서는, 베젤 속의 요시이가 3집앨범 「jaguar hard pain」에 등장하는 재규어의 연인 마리에 여장하고 있다. 요시이는 "프랑스 영화 '베티 블루'를 연상시켜 흑백으로 좀 더 걸쭉한 여장을 하고 싶었는데, 음반사들에 기죽어 깔끔해져 버렸다"고 말했다.
