-‘구아야베라(Guayabera)’라는 이름의 쿠바 셔츠는 고급 소재의 셔츠 입니다.
보통 4개의 주머니가 달린 것이 특징인데, 이 주머니는 구아바를 넣는 용도였다고. 구아바는 쿠바의 대표적인 과일이며 옛 쿠바인들이 말을 타고 길을 가다가 구아바 나무를 마주치면 열매를 따서 주머니에 넣으려고 이렇게 만들었다는데 물론 지금은 구아바를 넣는 용도로 주머니를 사용하진 않겠지만, 여전히 그 디자인을 유지하고 있습니다.
