Description
Late Joseon Dynasty blue and white porcelain inkstone holder (Yeonjeok).

Small and charming Yeonjeok measuring 6cm wide x 4cm high x 2cm diameter.

From a provincial kiln during the late 19th to early 20th century, approximately 100-150 years ago. While not a refined piece from the official royal kilns, it possesses the rustic simplicity and natural beauty characteristic of folk art, showcasing its folk craft value.

This piece can be used as a holder for the 'Four Treasures of the Study' (writing brush, inkstone, ink stick, paper) or as a cosmetic container for women. It could also function as a brush washer. Its use was adaptable to the owner's needs.

Imagine how it was used in the past.
