[BUNJANG] 1988 Korea-Canada Friendship Centennial Commemorative Medal / 1988년 한국-캐나다 친선 100주년 기념 메달

A rare collectible commemorative medal issued in 1988 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of friendship between Korea and Canada.

The obverse features an intricate embossed bust of James Scarth Gale (1863-1937), who was active as a missionary and writer in Korea during the late Joseon Dynasty and was the first to introduce Chunhyangjeon and Guunmong to the West. Maple leaves are also depicted.
