[BUNJANG] 1905 Korean Empire Postal Card to French Legation in Seoul / 우편엽서

This is a historically significant postal card, actually sent on April 8, 1905, during the Korean Empire era from Seoul to the French Legation.

The recipient is meticulously addressed in French: "Monsieur F. Berteaux. Legatidn de Frennce. Seoul."

This exceptionally rare card was sent to Mr. F. Berteaux, then with the French Legation in Seoul.

While many Korean Empire postcards circulating today feature concurrently printed stamps, this particular card is a rare collector's item affixed with a 3-jeon stamp commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Korean Empire's ascension.

The reverse of the card features a photograph with notable figures:
- The individual wearing an 'ikseongwan' (a type of traditional hat) is identified as the Crown Prince (or royal descendant).
- This figure is depicted wearing a 'bo' (a type of ceremonial robe) adorned with dragon or phoenix motifs on the chest.

This postcard, featuring such a detailed photograph on its reverse, is believed to be the only one of its kind discovered to date among Korean Empire postcards.

보낸 매우 희귀한 엽서입니다.
보통 시중에 나도는 대한제국 엽서는 우표를 동시에 인쇄 한것인데
이 엽서는 대한제국 어극 40주년 기념우표인 3전 짜리 우표를
붙인 희귀 수집품 입니다.

뒷면 사진속 인물 중에는 익선관을 쓴 사람은 황태자(왕손)이며
(가슴에는용이나 봉황등의 무뉘가 들어간 "보 "가 있으며)
나머지 세명의 인물들은 당시 최고의 고급관리 복장을 하고 있는
이런 사진이 엽서 뒷면에 인쇄된것은
현제까지 발견된 대한제국 엽서 중 유일한 것으로 사료됩니다.
