이 두 카드는 포켓몬 카드의 초기 역사 중 해외 수입과 관련해 중요한 상징입니다. 왼쪽의 일본 한정판 무무밀크 카드는 그 일러스트가 매우 난해합니다. 꼬리선이 무무밀크를 마시고 있는데, 그 통(?)이 소인지, 소의 무늬만 딴 통인지, 이 일러스트를 통해 뭘 말하고 싶은건지 등 난해하다는 문제가 있었습니다. 그리고 당시 미국에서 포켓몬 카드를 발매하던 WOTC회사는, 해당 일러스트 보다는 직관적이고, 더 귀여운 일러스트, 즉 오른쪽의 일러스트를 사용하기로 했습니다!!
(이를 두고 WOTC가 금지했다는 표현을 사용하지만, 엄밀히 말하면 금지보다는 교체라는 표현이 더 정확합니다 ㅎㅎ)
그 결과 왼쪽의 무무밀크 카드는 일본 한정판으로 미국에서 고가에 거래되며, 오른쪽 무무밀크 카드 역시 일본에서 고가에 거래됩니다😊 이렇듯 포켓몬 네오 시대의 해외 수입과 관련해 재밌는 역사의 일부인, 무무밀크 카드입니다!
