This exquisite vase, a prized possession from a 20-year collection, stands at 34cm tall with a 18cm width and an 11cm mouth diameter.

Crafted using the *Gemsa Cheolseon (Gold Thread Line) technique, the central 'Fish and Lotus' motif depicts a serene scene of fish playing in a pond. The application of bas-relief (buyo) technique, which makes the design appear to protrude like an embossed pattern, adds a remarkable sense of depth and dimension.

As a piece of official kiln (Gwan-yo) porcelain, it symbolizes wishes for wealth and prosperity (*Bugui Yu-yeo), a leisurely and contented life (*Yuyu Ja-jeok), and success in official appointments and career advancement.
