This is an IP Select Armonia glove previously used by Yoshinobu Yamamoto until 2021.

IP Select gloves are renowned for their impeccable quality, particularly their exceptional leather. They utilize Dutch leather, known for its fine grain and softness. Even professional glove customizers in Korea acknowledge the superior quality of IP Select leather.

This specific Armonia model is designed to enhance pitching velocity and control. It features a unique middle finger structure with a built-in non-slip mechanism, allowing for a stronger grip and increased power transfer to the ball. This design aligns with research suggesting that directing the middle finger towards the target can improve pitching speed and accuracy.

While Yamamoto now uses Nike gloves due to sponsorship agreements, his current gloves also incorporate a ring and non-slip device on the middle finger, similar to this model.

This particular glove is no longer in production. While IP Select still offers Armonia models, they are designed for different Japanese players and include an additional finger loop, deviating from the original design.

The glove has been professionally broken in and is in a firm state. With a little more customization and a few more catch sessions, it will become even softer.

Used for approximately 5 months and then stored.

Due to some wear on the suede portion of the glove's web, as shown in the photos, the price has been reduced. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a glove used by one of Japan's greatest pitchers during his dominance in the NPB league.
