This is a Type 4 flight jacket officially adopted by the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in the 1990s. Designed for actual pilots, it features excellent thermal insulation.

The jacket is intentionally cropped for ease of movement in the cockpit. The main zipper closure is asymmetrical and deep-overlapping to block wind.

Features include:
* A stowaway hood (see photos 5-6).
* Two internal pockets without buttons (see photo 7).
