This is a model kit from the Tsubasa Collection Vol. 10 'Pacific Storm' series, released by Doyusha in October 2007. It allows for the assembly of a 1/100 scale A6M2 Zero Fighter Type 21.

This particular model accurately recreates an aircraft belonging to the 265th Naval Air Group, also known as the 'Lightning Unit,' which was formed in 1943 and tasked with air defense missions in the Mariana Islands.

The Type 21 was originally designed as a carrier-based fighter but was later deployed to land-based airfields during the latter half of the war, where it played an active role in air defense against Allied forces until the end.
