Therefore, in Mexican culture, it is believed that keeping this mask at home wards off evil spirits and protects the owner of the space.

This is a cherished item I brought from a select shop in Fukuoka at a high price. It bears the traces of time, incomparable to mass-produced factory goods. The deep wood grain and colors are alive, as a person hand-carved the wood and applied the paint.
