A Southern Song Dynasty ewer featuring a clear white glaze with carved vine patterns and a mythical beast spout. The surface is coated with a thin layer of clear and transparent white glaze, exhibiting a subtle, elegant blue sheen. Each of the six sides is intricately decorated with a finely carved floral vine pattern, creating a three-dimensional effect with subtle shadows. The lid and rim fit precisely, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship that enhances the piece's overall perfection. Fine craquelure (ice cracks) can be observed on the surface, and the base shows signs of age, including wear, cracks, and oxidation marks, indicative of its historical provenance. This vessel is believed to have been produced in Jingdezhen during the Southern Song Dynasty.
