## Historical Background
This coin was issued during the reign of Nurhaci (Tianming Emperor), the founder of the Later Jin dynasty (1616-1626). To counter the Ming dynasty's monetary economy and establish an independent state, Nurhaci minted coins using two scripts: Chinese characters and Manchu.

## Collectible Value
The front of this coin features the early Manchu script, known as 'Old Manchu'. The inscription translates to 'Coin of the Khan who received the mandate of Heaven (Abkai fulingga han jiha)'.
