Description
This is a rare banknote from the early 1960s, referred to as the 'Sejong 1,000 Won' or 'Bearded Sejong'. Unlike the current dignified portrait of King Sejong, this early version was based on textbook illustrations from the time, giving it a slightly slimmer face and sparser beard, characteristic of an elderly man. A unique piece of historical currency.
