[BUNJANG] Antique Korean White Porcelain Bunetal Mask / 골동품 민속품 도자기 백자 부네탈

A white porcelain Bunetal mask with a sense of age.

This is a rare piece, as Bunetal masks made of white porcelain are uncommon, though variations using paper and earthenware materials exist.

The Bunetal (Gakshi) is one of Korea's representative traditional masks, characterized by its egg-shaped face, blush marks on the cheeks, and a humorous and gentle expression with smiling eyes.

This mask, approximately the size of a real face, is attributed to the period around the 1980s. While masks of this size were known to be created by master craftsman Cheon Jae-dong (a designated Intangible Cultural Property), this piece lacks a signature, making the artist unknown. It is a work of an unsigned artist from around the 1980s.

It can be hung as a decorative item using the attached string.

Given it is a ceramic piece, there are minor kiln imperfections, but it is otherwise in complete condition.

연대감이 있는 백자 부네탈입니다.
실제 얼굴 싸이즈의 크기로 종이와 옹기재질은 보이나 백자로 제작한 것은 많이 귀합니다.
도자 부네탈은 한국의 대표적인 전통 가면인 하회탈 중 하나인 부네(각시)로
달걀형의 얼굴에 볼에는 연지곤지를 찍고 눈웃음을 짓고 있는 해학적이고 온화한것이 특징입니다.
실제 얼굴크기의 탈을 제작하셨던분은 중요무형문화재이신 천재동선생의 작품에서는 봤지만 도결이 없어 누구인지 알수없고 1980년 전후 제작한 작가미상의 탈입니다.
끈을 달아 매달아 장식용등으로 활용하셔도
좋을듯합니다.
상태는 도자기라 가마흠은 보이지만 완전합니다.
