This antique Korean oil lamp stand showcases the natural patina and deep brown luster developed over long years of use, enhanced by the touch of human hands, creating a stately and elegant appearance.

**Base:** A thick and heavy octagonal solid wood base (diameter 19cm) constructed using traditional Korean joinery (짜맞춤) without nails, where the column is fitted into grooves carved into the base.

**History:** The wear and deep patina suggest it is at least around 100 years old, dating back to the late Joseon Dynasty to the Japanese colonial period. It represents a typical folk antique from the lifestyle of the upper class during that era.
