Original vintage rosary from the catacombs (underground cemetery) of Rome, dating back to the 1930s-1950s.

Features terracotta-style beads with the inscription 'ROMA' and 'TERRA CATACUMBA' (Earth of the Catacombs) on the cross.

This is a genuine vintage religious item, no longer in production, believed to have been crafted for pilgrims visiting the Roman Catacombs in the past.

Rosaries from this era and location typically used beads made from hardened rose petals, coque de noix (coconut palm seeds), or olive wood.

The beads are largely free of cracks. The 'earth' (holy soil) portion beneath the cross shows some wear consistent with its age.

The clean, capital letter inscription on the back is a characteristic style commonly found on Catholic holy items and souvenirs from the post-World War era (1930s-1950s), serving as evidence for its dating.
