A rare find from the 18th Century Qianlong period (1735-1796) of the Qing Dynasty, this exquisite Lowestoft porcelain small bowl (diameter approx. 10.5cm) is a prime example of Chinese export ware. Produced in Jingdezhen according to orders from European markets, including British Lowestoft merchants, it features delicate 'famille rose' (fencai) painting of roses, various flowers, a flower basket, a vase, and butterflies.

Crafted with thin, dense white porcelain, the body boasts a natural, milky-white glaze with a soft sheen. The characteristic subtle colors of early famille rose pigments are well-preserved. The combination of brown outlines and pink, purple, and green pigments is a hallmark of Qianlong-era export porcelain.

Inside the base, an original 'George Considine' collection label from a former American antique dealer remains, along with a note 'Circa 1800 Lowestoft', providing valuable provenance.

While hairline cracks consistent with use are present on the rim, the overall form is intact. This piece, over 250 years old, holds significant historical and collectible value, showcasing the vibrant maritime trade between China and Europe during its era. 18세기 청대 건륭시기 제작된 중국 광채(분채) 수출자기 소완입니다. 당시 영국 Lowestoft 상인을 비롯한 유럽 시장의 주문에 따라 경덕진에서 제작되어 수출된 중국 수출자기의 전형적인 예로, 장미와 각종 화훼, 꽃바구니와 화병, 나비 등을 섬세한 분채 기법으로 표현하였습니다.

백자 태토는 얇고 치밀하며 유백색의 자연스러운 유색을 띠고 있고, 부드러운 광택의 유약과 초기 분채 안료 특유의 은은한 색감이 잘 남아 있습니다. 갈색 윤곽선과 분홍, 자주, 녹색 안료의 조화는 건륭시기 광채 수출자기에서 자주 확인되는 특징으로 평가됩니다.

굽 안쪽에는 오래전 미국 골동품상에서 부착한 ‘George Considine’ 컬렉션 라벨이 그대로 남아 있으며, ‘Circa 1800 Lowestoft’라는 메모가 확인되어 과거 유통 이력을 보여주는 자료로 함께 보존되어 있습니다.
