Hallyu4U Shipping & Forwarding Policy

Hallyu4U is a specialized South Korea-based ship forwarding service. We are not the seller of the products; we provide the infrastructure for you to receive, store, and ship your Korean purchases globally.

By using our Services, you agree to the logistics procedures and responsibilities outlined below.


1. The Forwarding Workflow

  1. Purchase: You buy items from any Korean marketplace (Bunjang, Weverse, etc.) and ship them to your assigned Hallyu4U warehouse address.

  2. Reception: We receive your packages and notify you of their arrival.

  3. Request: You submit a consolidation or shipping request via your dashboard.

  4. Processing: We prepare, repackage (if requested), and calculate the final shipping cost.

  5. Dispatch: Once payment is settled, we ship your items globally from our Seoul distribution center.


2. Processing & Preparation Time

Once your package(s) are in our warehouse and a shipping request is submitted:

  • Standard Processing: 2–3 business days.

  • Peak Seasons: During high-volume periods (holidays, major K-pop comebacks), processing may take 4–7 business days.

  • Special Requests: Additional time is required for value-added services such as detailed photos, weight verification, video inspection, or specialized reinforcement.

  • Pre-Orders: If your consolidation includes pre-order items, your shipment will be held until all items have arrived.


3. Shipping Methods & Speed

We offer various tiers of shipping to balance cost and speed. All transit times are estimates provided by carriers and do not include customs clearance time.

A. Domestic Forwarding (South Korea Only)

  • Carrier: CJ Logistics / Korea Post

  • Rate: $3.99 Flat Rate

  • Transit Time: 1–3 business days

  • Use Case: Forwarding to a friend or another address within Korea.

B. K-Packet (Economy International)

  • Carrier: Korea Post

  • Weight Limit: Maximum 2kg (Total weight including packaging).

  • Transit Time: 3–6 weeks.

  • Tracking: Limited tracking available for certain countries once the package leaves Korea.

  • Eligible Regions: Brazil, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, UK, USA, Vietnam.

C. Express International (Premium)

  • Carriers: FedEx / DHL

  • Weight Limit: No strict limit; subject to volumetric weight calculations.

  • Transit Time: 3–10 business days.

  • Tracking: Real-time, door-to-door tracking.

  • Eligible Regions: Global coverage including North America, Europe, Oceania, Asia, and South America (over 60+ countries).

  • Note: Remote area surcharges may apply based on the carrier's specific regional maps.


4. Consolidation & Volume Optimization

To help you save on international shipping, we offer:

  • Combined Shipping (합배송): Merging multiple orders into a single box.

  • Repackaging: We remove unnecessary outer merchant boxes to reduce the Volumetric Weight (size) of your shipment.

  • Reinforcement: Optional bubble wrap, edge protectors, and reinforced boxes for fragile items like lightsticks or vinyl records.


5. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

The recipient is the Importer of Record.

  • Liability: All customs duties, VAT, GST, or local brokerage fees are the exclusive responsibility of the customer.

  • Policy: Hallyu4U will not declare false values or mark shipments as "Gifts" to circumvent local laws.

  • Inspections: Customs delays are beyond our control. If a package is rejected or destroyed by customs due to import restrictions, Hallyu4U is not liable for the loss.


6. Delivery Issues & Carrier Limitations

Hallyu4U is not responsible for:

  • Address Errors: Packages sent to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the user.

  • Unclaimed Packages: Shipments returned because the recipient was unavailable or failed to pay customs duties.

  • Force Majeure: Delays due to weather, strikes, or global supply chain disruptions.

  • Returns: If a package is returned to our warehouse, reshipping fees will apply. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.


7. Shipping Insurance

  • Status: Optional.

  • Requirement: Must be selected and paid for prior to dispatch.

  • Coverage: Without insurance, Hallyu4U and the carrier are not liable for loss, theft, or damage during transit. Claims are subject to the carrier’s specific investigation results.


8. Storage & Abandonment Policy

  • Free Storage: We offer a grace period for package accumulation (refer to our website for current duration).

  • Storage Fees: Daily fees accrue once the free period expires.

  • Abandonment: To maintain warehouse efficiency, packages stored for over 180 days without a shipping request will be considered abandoned and disposed of without refund.


9. Tracking Your Shipment

  • Tracking numbers are uploaded to your account within 24–48 hours of dispatch.

  • Please allow time for the carrier to scan the package into their system before tracking updates appear.
